I was born in Illinois, but I consider Chandler, AZ my hometown since I spent most of my childhood and teenage years here. Growing up, I was an avid soccer and softball player, and I also enjoyed playing the cello and piano. During my senior year of high school, a sports injury sidelined me and introduced me to physical therapy for the first time. Although the therapy was challenging, it sparked a deep appreciation for the healing process, the power of movement, and the power of empathetic care.

I’ve always been drawn to science and health, though it took some exploration to find my true calling. After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, I gained experience in several healthcare settings including roles as an optometric assistant, physical therapy aide, and phlebotomist. Ultimately, I fell in love with physical therapy because of the meaningful relationships it allows me to build with patients. I consider it a privilege to spend so much time with and walk alongside people during their recovery—sometimes supporting them through their toughest moments, and other times celebrating their victories as they return to the activities they love.

I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2019 and returned to Arizona to begin my career. I started in an orthopedic clinic, primarily treating adults with musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. During that time, I worked with many pregnant and postpartum patients experiencing pain and other symptoms, which inspired me to obtain additional knowledge in pelvic health. Since then, I’ve pursued advanced training in pelvic floor dysfunction and now also provide care for adults of all genders dealing with urinary and bowel concerns, sexual dysfunction, and pelvic pain conditions.

No matter the body-part, injury, or surgery we are helping with, my goal is the same: to provide empathetic, evidence-based, and high-quality care that empowers people to take control of their health and return to the things in life they love.

Outside the clinic, you can find me on the hiking trails with my dog or at home with my husband and toddler. My days alternate between reading fantasy/science fiction novels and Fox in Socks (for the millionth time), baking fancy desserts and serving mac and cheese, watching the NWSL and rewatching Bluey. Life’s all about balance.

What does #ExpectBetter mean to you?

To me, ExpectBetter means never settling, both for myself or for my patients. It’s about continuous improvement, staying curious, and always seeking the most effective ways to help people heal. It also means leading with compassion, presence, and kindness—meeting every person where they are. As a physical therapist, I see my role as part coach, part cheerleader, and part guide; walking alongside my patients through the ups and downs as they work toward recovery. Expect Better is a promise to keep learning, keep improving, and keep growing.
