At Arizona Performance Institute, we have a solution. Our Youth Summer Sports Performance Program is a 5-week strength and conditioning class for athletes ages 7–15 that keeps kids moving, engaged, and actually excited to show up. Think less drill sergeant, more high-energy coached environment where kids challenge themselves, make friends, and leave tired in the best possible way.

What Is the Youth Summer Sports Performance Program?

It is one hour, twice a week, where your kid gets off their phone, off the couch, and into a gym doing something that actually matters for their athletic future.

Our program is built around performance principles used with real athletes, scaled and adapted for young, developing bodies. But more than that, it is designed to be something kids genuinely look forward to.

Each session covers foundational movement like squatting, hinging, pushing, and pulling done right from the start; speed and agility work that is as fun as it is effective; age-appropriate strength training that builds real confidence alongside real results; and body awareness skills that keep kids healthy and moving well all year long.

Every session is coached by our team of licensed physical therapists and performance specialists. Your kid is not just burning energy, they are learning how to move safely and build athletic habits that stick.

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Dates: Week of June 1 through week of July 6

Ages: 7–15

Location: Arizona Performance Institute, Mesa, AZ

Why Summer Is the Perfect Time for This

Summer is long. Like, really long. And while a little downtime is healthy, kids who stay active during the break tend to be happier, sleep better, and come back to school and sports in a better headspace.

For the young athletes in the group, summer is also the single best window to actually improve. There are no games to prep for, no season to protect. Just time to get stronger, faster, and more confident in their body. The kids who put in the work this summer are the ones who show up to fall tryouts noticeably different.

Most summer programs are run by coaches or trainers. Ours is led by licensed physical therapists who specialize in sports performance. That means every drill, every movement, every rep is intentional and safe for growing bodies.

We are also just really good with kids. We make it competitive enough to push them, fun enough that they want to come back, and structured enough that parents feel good about dropping them off.

We are a family-owned clinic in Mesa and we treat every kid who walks through our doors like they matter. Because they do.

Standard registration: $200 per athlete

AZPI members or Registering 2 or more kids: $175 per athlete
